Greetings Marshals,
As you may be aware, a new Society Handbook for Armored Combat was approved just prior to Pennsic, with an implementation date of December 20th, 2025. This updated document provides our Kingdom with the opportunity to determine whether we wish to adopt any additional rules, and it will also serve as the foundation for adjustments to how we operate as a Marshallate.
Key Updates:
- Armored Marshal List Management
The Armored Marshal list may now be updated only by the Marshal Clerk’s Office, the Deputy Earl Marshal, or myself if the Clerk is unavailable. Any additions, removals, or modifications must be processed through the Clerk’s Office (clerk@marshal.eastkingdom.org) . Regional and Discipline Marshals will continue to have viewing privileges for these documents, which are now stored in the East Kingdom Marshal Google Drive. - Official EK Email Requirement
All official business and access to documents for your office will be conducted exclusively through your official East Kingdom email address. These accounts also allow us to verify membership status when needed. Any questions or issues regarding your EK email should be directed to our dedicated Marshal Webminister at Webminister@marshal.eastkingdom.org - Marshal Warrant Renewal Process
Between now and December 20th, we will introduce an online form that all currently warranted Marshals will be required to complete. This form will cover the recent rules changes and will confirm your familiarity with the new handbook. Completion of this form is mandatory for any Marshal wishing to retain their warrant under the new rules beyond December 20th.- The date you successfully complete the form will become your new Marshal’s Warrant expiration date.
- Warrants will now expire every four years, and completing this form will be part of the warrant renewal process.
- Automated Reminders
We are working to automate reminder emails so that your official EK account will receive a notice 30 days prior to the expiration of your membership or marshal warrant. This will help ensure your information remains current with the Marshal Clerk. - Official Communications
Please remember that official changes regarding Armored Combat are not finalized until published on either the Earl Marshal or Armored Combat webpages. While we strive to keep you informed of upcoming developments, only posted announcements are considered official.

I encourage each of you to review the new Armored Combat Handbook in full. We will schedule a meeting in early September to discuss potential Kingdom-specific additions, clarify rules, and address any questions you may have.

Following this meeting, I expect every Regional Marshal to schedule meetings with the Marshals within their regions to allow the information to trickle down.
